Vic's cleared the bookcase
And packing has begun. Thus begins a week in which we will load stuff into boxes and by Tuesday we should have the keys to our new place.
I'd like to think we don't have much to move... but I know that's not true, no doubt I have a load of useless crap.

Moving On!
Well, since the last time I posted, almost 6 months ago, a lot of things have changed.
Vic and I are now engaged... she asked me... and we're about to move into our new house in Blaydon on the outskirts of Gateshead.
Over the next week or so I'll be posting up here photos of the move as it goes on.
Should be both stressful and fun!

Howay Man!
Hey,
Well here's the latest craic.
I've just got a new job in Newcastle.. I'll be handing my notice in on monday and moving to the North East to live with Victoria.
We've got a great new apartment in Gateshead, right near the town.
So life is moving on... stay tuned for more info and some pics :)

XBox Live On The Road
These Guys hooked up a Xbox360 and HD monitor in the back of a van and were able to utilise the free city wide Wifi in Mountain View, CA, the home of Google, to play while on the road.
There are also more pics and info here
I think this is well cool and if the free Google Wifi is a go-er for more cities around the world.. who knows what may come next?

Institute of Engineering and Technology
Spent Wednesday in London at a Seminar in the Institute, was a nice place that used to be the BBC's Radio Studios.
Was a day that began with a hangover from the night before spent drinking around the town.
Always enjoy my trips down south, I guess I enjoy travelling. Though I don't think London is somewhere I could live, too expansive, too many people and very expensive.
This weekend is a big one in ice hockey, will be travelling to Hull and Sheffield. Hopefully have some crackin pictures coming up over the weekend.

How I had to watch the rugby down the pub.
A Sunday afternoon down the Shipwright Inn to watch the Ireland v Wales, Six Nations game. Unfortunately it's a case of it not being good enough to warrant the big screen.. therefor we were relegated to the small screen.

I'm back..
..3 weeks off and I'm back in Cumbria.. Joy of Joys. (Please note the sarcasm)
Back to work and doing my best to keep a low profile.
In all honesty I'm sick of this place. My self and Vic have been in full on discussion about me relocating to be with her in Newcastle, to the point we are hoping to go flat hunting in the next few weeks. So I am in full "Find a new Job" mode.
It's not that I don't like my job , far from it, I find my job very rewarding, My boss is top notch and committed to helping me further my career as an Engineer. It's the area I am not too enamoured with. It's a bit out of the way.
To get to any relative civilization I have to take a 40mile trip north to a motorway.. then an onward trip to wherever I want to go.
Now being given the opportunity to travel to Newcastle and start afresh with Vic is far too much a great opportunity to miss.
But first step is to find the job.
As for my resolutions, keeping to them, eating healthier, not been drinking any booze, lots of water, orange and general fruit and veg.. not feeling many symptoms of withdrawl.. just a bit drained on occasion.
Played some five-a-side as usual for a tuesday, then watched my team, Liverpool, get destroyed at home 6-3 by Arsenal in the Carling Cup Quarters... bah.. out of 2 cups in 4 days...
Ah well... back to work tomorrow!
